The Humber/Rotterdam Alliance has been established to provide importers and exporters with an ‘alternative entry route to and from the UK.’

The Alliance focuses on the development of deep-sea container cargoes using the Humber Ports as a feeder route from and to Rotterdam, Europe’s leading transshipment port for global cargo flows. It presents an economically viable alternative for the movement of cargoes currently using the south coast ports of the UK as a point of exit/entry – marketing the Humber Ports as a spoke to the international hub of Rotterdam.
